Hotel Accomodations

The Renaissance Albany Hotel in downtown Albany is our host hotel. Pre-Advocacy events and meetings will take place in the adjacent Albany Capital Center, which is connected to the Renaissance via a walkway.

NYLA has arranged a block of rooms in the Renaissance for a discounted rate of $199 USD - $219 USD per night.

*Please note when navigating to the booking page provided below, the full room block (Monday, February 5 - Wednesday, February 7) automatically populates in the dates selection. As we no longer have availability for Monday, February 5th, please update the date to reflect Tuesday, February 6 - Wednesday, February 7, 2024, to have available rooms display. Failure to adjust the dates will provide a "room block full" error message.

2024 Advocacy Day Lead-Up Events

As we approach #LAD24, NYLA will host a series of events to help you prepare for effective advocacy on Advocacy Day and beyond! As events are scheduled their details will populate below.

1:00 pm - 2:30pm	Tour of the Regent Joseph E. Bowman, Jr. Research Library
	Location: NYS Library 7th Floor
	The New York State Library invites NYLA Pre-Advocacy Day attendees to join us for a behind-the-scenes tour of our Regent Joseph E. Bowman, Jr. Research Library! Get a back-of-the-house look at our 20 million items, meet State Library staff, and learn more about how the State Library supports libraries and researchers across the state. The tour will conclude with a special exhibit of fascinating items from our Manuscripts and Special Collections relating to New York’s history.

	Join us in Albany for the New Yorkers for Better Libraries Cocktail Hour at The Hollow!
	Location: The Hollow Bar + Kitchen, 79 N Pearl St, Albany, NY Cocktail Hour: 5:00PM to 7:00PM Tickets are $100 and include an open bar from 5PM-7PM, light appetizers, and your donation to the PAC.  Donations will be used to increase access to elected decision-makers in the State Legislature who are in a position to help libraries.
