Application Form

NYLA DIVERSITY FAIR - CALL FOR SUBMISSIONS!

Submit your proposals for the 2007 NYLA Diversity Fair! Showcase your Library's experiences, resources and insights into serving minority and ethnic communities. The Diversity Fair will be held on Friday, October 19, 2007, 1:30 - 2:30 in the Exhibits Hall.
The Diversity Fair has no rigid format - it will include everything from poster sessions to arts and crafts workshop to fashion showcases and informal conversations with colleagues. 2007 marks the 25th anniversary of the Ethnic Services Roundtable; help your ESRT colleagues celebrate this amazing anniversary with flair.

Submit your proposals to Diversity Fair Co-Chairs:
Alla Makeeva-Roylance, BPL (a.makeeva@brooklynpubliclibrary.org),
Liana Alaverdova, BPL (l.alaverdova@brooklynpubliclibrary.org) AND
Zahra M. Baird, Chappaqua Library (zjanmo@hotmail.com).

Make sure your proposals arrive before April 30, 2007.

The Diversity Fair is being introduced by NYLA’s ESRT (Ethnic Services Round Table) at the Annual Conference in 2007, as a part of our 25th Anniversary Celebrations.  We are hoping that this will be an annual event.  We hope to encourage those who are addressing diversity programs, activities and services in local libraries to share their resources with others. It also allows for NYLA conference attendees to glean workable strategies for serving their community’s underserved populations.  Please join us in this groundbreaking event for NYLA!
