The 411 on 2-1-1: Reentry Services

2-1-1 serves as a vital link in assisting individuals in transitioning back into their communities post-incarceration. Through its phone service, 2-1-1 facilitates connections with various support services catering to essential needs like housing, employment, family reunification, and mental and physical health care. By learning how to utilize 2-1-1 effectively, you can tap into a wealth of resources tailored for individuals reentering society from correctional facilities.

Kelly Dodd, Chief Operating Officer of 211 NY Inc., will walk you through the resources provided by 2-1-1 specifically designed for this demographic and discuss opportunities to collaborate with 211 within your community to enhance support networks.

Presenters: Kelly Dodd is the Chief Operating Officer of 211 NY Inc. and Vice President of the United Way of New York State. Kelly has been working in the field of information and referral since 2007 when she was hired as a member of the team that launched with 211 in WNY. Kelly is active in the WNY community serving on the boards of the WNY Coalition for the Homeless, New York State Alliance of Information & Referral Systems Inc., Erie County Disaster Preparedness Advisory Board, City of Buffalo Living Wage Commissioner, and volunteering as a free tax preparer.

This workshop is provided at no cost to WNYLRC and ESLN members.
