NYLA 2021-22 Council Statement of Solidarity with Ukraine

The New York Library Association stands in solidarity with our colleagues in Ukraine. We are committed to working with information professionals around the world to ensure that complete and factual information about the Ukrainian - Russian conflict is available freely to everyone, as it is vital in the pursuit of democracy and freedom for all. We condemn any action against the fundamental human rights of intellectual freedom, freedom of access to knowledge, freedom of expression, and access to technology. We are ready to support our Ukrainian colleagues should they need assistance to uphold these freedoms and in the battle against misinformation.
