By Automobile...

The address for the Lake Placid Convention Center is 2608 Main Street, Lake Placid, NY 12946.


For those not parking at your hotel - there is a municipal parking lot adjacent to the Conference Center, located at 2578 Main St
Lake Placid, NY 12946.  All day parking is $5.

By Air...

The Plattsburgh International Airport, approximately one hour from Lake Placid, provides convenient commercial air service.  A complimentary shuttle is being provide between the Plattsburgh Airport and Lake Placid; inbound on Wednesday, October 21 and outbound on Saturday, October 24.


By Train...

Railway access via Amtrak is available from New York, Albany and Montreal, with tickets that include a shuttle ride to Lake Placid direct from the Westport Station.

Amtrak is offering a 10% discount off the best available rail fare to Lake Placid, NY between October 18, 2015 – October 27, 2015.  To book your reservation call Amtrak at 1 (800) 872-7245 or contact your local travel agent.

Discounted convention fares cannot be booked online.  Please be sure to refer to Convention Fare Code X22Y-931 when making your reservation.


By Bus...

Adirondack Trailways offers service from New York City, Port Authority Terminal and bus terminal points North, with drop-off in the center of Lake Placid and Saranac Lake.

Chartered Buses!

The Pioneer Library System has chartered a bus to the 2015 New York Library Association Conference at Lake Placid and anyone in New York's library community is welcome to get on board!  Thanks to a subsidy from the New York Library Association, the cost is only $53.74 per rider.  Details, registration & payment via EventBrite.

Three convenient pick-up locations.

  2. Pioneer Library System, 2557 State Route 21, Canandaigua, NY 14424
  3. Cicero Public Library, 8686 Knowledge Ln, Cicero, NY 13039

You may leave your car at one of the above library's parking lots from Wednesday, October 21st through return trip time on Saturday, October 24th.

To Lake Placid on Wednesday, October 21
Bus departs promptly:

  1. 8:30am from Richmond Memorial Library
  2. 9:30am from Pioneer Library System
  3. 11:15am from Cicero Public Library

Arrive Lake Placid approximately 3:30pm

Leave Lake Placid, Saturday, October 24
Bus departs promptly at 1pm

Arrive at:

  1. Cicero Public Library - 4:30pm*
  2. Pioneer Library System - 6:30pm*
  3. Richmond Memorial Library - 8pm*

The Long Island Library Resources Council (LILRC), with financial support from NYLA, is chartering a bus for the Long Island library community to attend the 2015 New York Library Association (NYLA) Annual Conference and Tradeshow!

*The bus will depart Lake Placid at 1:00PM.

The bus will be stopping during both trips at the New Baltimore Travel Plaza, where attendees can purchase food, etc.
Registration and Refund Policy: Full payment is required in order to reserve your seat. No refunds will be provided, unless there is a waitlist and your seat can be filled by another attendee.
