Fire Devastates Pleasant Valley Free Library

On Tuesday, November 6 a devastating fire hit the Pleasant Valley Free Library and the library will be closed until further notice. NYLA Council has pledged $1,000 and $1,809 was raised at our Annual Conference. "The library is a community. And that isn't something that can be destroyed," said Library Director, Daniela Pulice.

The library is asking for monetary donations in order to get the library up and running as soon as possible. Donations made to NYLA's Disaster Relief Fund from now until December 31 will be given to the Pleasant Valley Free Libary.
