Youth Services Section (YSS) Update

The Youth Services Section is looking forward to a wonderful new year! 2017 will be chock full of events for Youth Providers around New York State. One opportunity you won't want to miss is the YSS Spring Conference happening in Ithaca on Friday, April 28th. This year's conference is Out of the Box to be held at the historic State Theater of Ithaca and will be unlike any other past Spring Conference. The Keynote Speaker is 2015 Library Journal Mover and Shaker, Sue Kowalski sharing her program on Advocacy through Action. Also to speak will be Adam Rubin and Daniel Salmieri, an author and illustrator team that will talk about the creative process of successful collaboration. Don't forget that in between these amazing speakers, many workshops and panels will be provided for professional development and networking opportunities. Members can apply for the Lisa C. Wemett Spring Conference Scholarship for seasoned youth professionals or the New Member Spring Conference Scholarship by February 1, 2017 for a chance to win a YSS Conference Registration. Visit the YSS website for details.
