Photo - Amanda LoweAmanda Lowe (pictured at left) was promoted to Lending and Access Services Associate at the University at Albany Libraries. Amanda joined the University Libraries as Information Commons Evening Coordinator in November 2014. She received her B.S. in English with a minor in Theatre Arts from SUNY Oneonta and her Masters in Library Science from the University at Buffalo.

The Dunham Public Library received a $50,000 grant for parking improvements from The Community Foundation of Herkimer & Oneida Counties, Inc. The grant will help Dunham Public Library prepare an adjacent lot for future parking, which will expand the library’s parking capacity for programming and patron visits.

Joyce Rienzo of the Riverhead Free Library's Youth and Family Services Department has been recognized by the Kent Animal Shelter and the North Fork Animal Welfare League for her work in leading a pet food drive in the library, allowing teens to receive community service credit, and collecting food for animal shelters in the community.Photo - Michelle Magnotta

The Mamaroneck Public Library District (Mamaroneck, NY) has hired Michelle Magnotta (pictured at right) as Spanish Speaking Librarian I as a full time staff member. Magnotta received her MLS degree in 2015 from Pratt Institute, and is a certified translator.

Joyce Rambo started full-time as Assistant to the Dean of the University at Albany Libraries. She had been working part-time as Assistant to the Dean at the University Libraries since 2011. Joyce has her BA in Art History from Vassar College and MS in Information and Library Science from the Pratt Institute. Before joining the University at Albany Libraries, she worked at Nylink, the New York State Library, and as a research editor and fact-checker in magazine publishing.  

Photo - Emily MockEmily Mock (pictured at left) started full-time as Coordinator for Gift Books and Collections Assessment at the University at Albany Libraries.  She had worked part-time with gift books in the University Libraries’ Collections department since 2012. Emily has her MSIS from the University at Albany and a BFA in Writing from Green Mountain College.  

Angela Persico has joined the University at Albany Libraries as Resource Sharing and Reserves Associate in Access Services. Angela received her BA from Skidmore College and her MSLIS from Syracuse University. Prior to joining the University at Albany Libraries, Angela worked in Interlibrary Loan and Circulation at the Lucy Scribner Library at Skidmore College.
