Did You Know?
Last year PLS provided support in the amount of $7,000 to advocacy organizations, including Urban Librarians Unite, Empire Center for the Book, New York Black Librarians' Caucus, and the NYLA Sustainability Summit. Also, PLS awarded $7,000 in scholarships for members to attend the NYLA Leadership & Management Academy. These are just a couple examples of how PLS works for you. Join us!
In the coming year PLS looks forward to deploying the Path for Professional & Association Advancement, a mentorship program to assist NYLA in engaging and retaining new members.
Although NYLA just ended, PLS is already planning for NYLA 2016. We hope to have a slate of energizing and informative programs. Mark your calendars now for November 2-5!
