NYLA election season has come and gone once again.  Congratulations to all the winners and a sincere and heartfelt thank you for those not elected; your willingness to volunteer for these positions is deeply appreciated.

I am looking forward to the results of NYLA’s Sustainability Institute.  Rebekkah Smith Aldrich and Matt Bollerman have done amazing work assembling a great team of forward thinkers.  The group has already begun the process of online team building.  Judging from the conversation the discussion will be lively.

Now is the time to register for the conference.  The early bird price expires soon, don’t delay!  Book now for the best price.  My excitement for the conference continues to build.  There are going to be some excellent programs, and some fun surprises in Lake Placid.

I was honored to have Bethlehem Public Library chosen as the kick off library for Jeremy and Jack’s ten day tour of New York libraries.  This tour garnered amazing positive feedback from around the state, and across all library types.  We are truly lucky to have an Executive Director that is willing to go out and listen to NYLA’s members.
