YSS Update

YSS Announces Scholarship Winners

Each spring, NYLA’s Youth Services Section hosts a one-day conference where the focus is on library service to and programs for youth and families.  Our goal is to inform library professionals about trends and practices in youth services while giving attendees lots of programming ideas to help them keep current about what's happening in libraries across the state. In addition to the workshop sessions, our keynote and luncheon speakers provide food for thought to set the tone for the conference.  At the end of the day, participants leave with a renewed focus and hopefully they will bring that excitement back to the communities.

To assist librarians who might not be able to attend due to financial constraints, YSS offers two scholarships to cover conference registration and other expenses. These two scholarships are awarded to encourage continuing education in the field of library youth services by participating in the annual YSS Spring Conference.
