Friends of Libraries Section Newsletters
Friends News and Notes is the quarterly newsletter of the Friends of Libraries Section (FLS). FLS replaces the Empire Friends Roundtable as of the NYLA Annual Membership Meeting on November 6, 2014.
Newsletters will be published in November, January, April, and August (schedule subject to change based on availablility of relevant information).
Newsletters are mailed to members of FLS. NYLA/FLS Friends Group Organizational Members will be notified when a newsletter issue is published online, A complete archive of FLS newsletters is posted on this FLS web page.
FLS is grateful to the good people of General Code who have facilitated the printing of the FLS (and originally the EFR) newsletter from 1996 through the December 2019 issue.You have helped us to provide our cornerstone member benefit, Friends News and Notes!

News and Notes from the Library Friends Roundtable of the New York Library Association
The Empire Friends Roundtable published three newsletters annually for 19 years (winter, spring, and fall). Archive copies of the last year, 2014, may be found below.
In general, each issue included a message from the EFR President, contact information for the members of the EFR Executive Board, and an EFR membership form. A semi-regular column, “Good Ideas from All Over,” highlighted projects and events that Friends groups could consider implementing for their library. In the “Contents” lists below, these regular features are not itemized.
