December 2022: Section of School Librarians Update

At the end of the #NYLA2022 conference's SSL Membership and Board meeting, the gavel was passed from Lisa Lehn Perkowski to the 2022-23 President Madelyn Haussner! Thanks for all you did this year, Lisa!

Nominated by colleagues from the South Central Regional Library Council and the Cayuga-Onondaga BOCES, Beth Cuddy, Auburn High School Librarian, was named School Librarian of the Year at the New York Library Association’s annual conference in Saratoga Springs on Saturday, November 5. Congratulations, Beth!

The Three Apples Book Award finalists have been announced! Open to all NYS students in grades PreK-12, the Three Apples Awards are given to books nominated and voted on entirely by students. It’s the Kids Choice Awards for books!
