It is hard to believe it is December since the sun is still shining in Rochester! As 2021 comes to a close, I wanted to give some quick updates on NYLA activities and operations.

Executive Director Search

The Search Committee reviewed over 35 applications and screened eight (8) potential candidates via Zoom in November and December. The Committee is bringing three (3) candidates in for longer, in person interviews and intends to have a recommendation for Council following the interviews.

Annual Conference & Trade Show

The 2022 Conference – Back to the Future – will be in Saratoga Springs from November 2-5, 2022. Conference Curators will meet on January 20, 2022, and the call for proposals will open on February 1, 2022.

Governance Task Force

The newly amended bylaws are posted on the NYLA website (link for where they are posted)! The next steps for the Task Force will be to systematically review existing policies and identify areas to update or improve.
