NYLA has partnered with First Nonprofit Group to offer an alternative to the traditional state unemployment insurance fund which pools employers together to pay unemployment claims in New York State. First Nonprofit’s programs remove you from the shared pooling concept to insure your library or library system only pays for your own expenses and not anyone else's claims. Today, more than 1,700 organizations, representing all sectors of the nonprofit community, rely on First Nonprofit to maintain and manage their unemployment needs.
NYLA members will get a 20% discount off the enrollment fee to this program which can save you up to 60% on your state unemployment tax payments.
