FILM Roundtable: Finding Inspiration in Literature and Movies
Statement of Purpose
To provide a forum for the exchange of ideas and information for individuals interested in exploring and sharing the power and passion of movies. FILM. will provide a forum for the exchange of information and ideas among members regarding: the provision, creation and delivery of film services, collections and programs (including Read the book: See the movie and film series); the study and creation of any literature pertaining to the film industry, (ex. film reviews, screenplays, script writing and filmographies); the effective communication between producers, distributors and library personnel; professional development opportunities, including screenings and workshops for members; increase awareness and cooperation with other associations and organizations which have similar or allied interests and to encourage the library/community television connection.
This is an exciting time for FILM! We are getting organized (drafting our bylaws, filling board positions) and hope that you will join our roundtable and become actively involved with NYLA’s newest roundtable.
