2018 Elections

The full slate of candidates running for positions on the FLS Executive Board have been elected. These individuals will take their new positions this fall at the NYLA Annual Conference in Rochester. The elected slate is:

First Vice President/President Elect, Term Ending:  November 2021

Friends of Libraries Section On the Road!

The Fourth annual Friends Meet-up with the members of the FLS Executive Board was held June 11 in DeWitt following the annual in-person Executive Board Meeting. The gathering was well attended and the conversation lively. Read all of the details in the upcoming September issue of Friends News and Notes.

A Getting It Started: Creating and Sustaining a Friends Group for Your Library workshop was cosponsored by FLS and the Central NY Library Resources Council on June
20. The Cazenovia Public Library and their Friends group hosted one of the most diverse groups at an FLS workshop to date. Thirteen libraries from six library systems were represented at the event. The full report will be available in the upcoming September issue of Friends News and Notes.
