Interests / Hobbies: My interests include reading (what a surprise!), swimming, spending time with my dog, gardening, cooking, and practicing French and ASL. I have really enjoyed the beginning of my journey into library science and look forward to pursuing my career in a library upon graduating. While my program is specifically for school librarianship, I am very interested in the work in academic and public libraries.

Educational Background:
I have a BS in Applied Learning and Development from the University of Texas. I expect to receive my MS in School Librarianship Spring 2018.

I am a new member of NYLA but I am interested in the work that PSL and SSL do.

I am a new member of ENYSLMA and look forward to meeting and working with current School Library Media Specialists in my area.
Why are you still a member? What has being a member done for you? Please share some of your positive experiences as a NYLA member.
As I stated, I am a new member both in the LIS field and to NYLA. I am grateful for the opportunity to attend the 2016 NYLA Conference and look forward to meeting other information professionals.
