Nominate a Writer for Hall of Fame 

The selection committee for the NYS Writers Hall of Fame are seeking nominations of the 2017 Class of the NYS Writers Hall of Fame.  Nominees living or deceased must have a New York connection.  Past winners have either been born, lived a significant part of their life or wrote about New York.  The term writers id used to include all tyes of writing including prose, poetry, essays, lyrics and other types of writing.  Please include reasons why your nominee should be inducted into the Hall of Fame.  The induction will take place in early June  in a ceremony in New York City. rocco.staino@gmail.com

NYLA Honors Saratoga with Literary Landmark for Frank Sullivan 

On November 3, 2016 at 12 pm the Center for the Book in cooperation with United for Libraries & the New York Library Association will dedicate a Literary Landmarks in Saratoga during the annual NYLA Conference for Frank Sullivan. Sullivan "The Sage of Saratoga" was a member of the famed Algonquin Roundtable.
