PLS' 2010 Awards
And the spirit moved us with our tie dye, 60's tunes, and lots of love...
We gave out all the Goodman books, sticky notes and flash drives, lots of member ribbons and information on our Spring Conference 2010. We also attracted a few new members to our section.
We sold an incredible amount of raffle tickets. Our winners were chosen at the PLS annual meeting and table talks Saturday morning. The winners are: Kindle - Kathy LaRocca La Tourelle $100 gift certficiates - Sara Kelly Johns and Paul Gromosiak Ed Kuhns was the winner of the "Remembering the 1960s" quiz and will receive Michael Lang's book The Road to Woodstock.
Public Libraries Section Mission
Statement (PLS was organized in 1972.)
The Public Libraries Section represents the interests and concerns of the public libraries of New York State. Membership is encouraged and open to all interested in the issues confronting the information services and business of publc libraries. This section endeavors to provide continuing education and leadership opportunities that promote and enhance library services. In addition, PLS acts as an advocate for public and political awareness striving towards adequate funding and support. |
