Membership includes a subscription to the CNYMS newsletter, and special events for CNYMS members only!

Types of Membership:

Active Professional - ($15) Limited to persons professionally qualified to be in the field of library/media in education.
Retiree - ($5) Available to persons now retired who previously were eligible for Active Professional or Business Associate membership.
Student - ($5) Available to students pursuing a career in the library/media field.

If you are a media specialist in Central New York, you must consider joining CNYMS. As a member, you can take advantage of connections and opportunties that will help you grow professionally. Joining CNYMS will help you develop library connections and friendships! And, CNYMS is the local chapter affiliate of School Library Media Specialists (SLMS). By joining, you can be active with other school library media specialists at the local level. Note, if you are not a member of NYLA/SLMS, you can still join CNYMS, so don't let this keep you from joining!

Students are welcome, too! In addition to taking advantage of the programing and workshops CNYMS offers, joining as a student will help you develop professional connections before starting your career. And at $5.00 a year, the price cannot be beat!

Retired Librarians Welcome! Joining will help you stay connected to the school library world for only $5.00 a year.

So, if you would like to enjoy the camaraderie of fellow school librarians and educators, join CNYMS. Membership is a bargain - enjoy all this for only $15.00 a year! Students and Retired Librarians only $5.00 a year!
