Job Description
Information Resource Management Specialist (IRMS) is responsible for actively participating in the global provision of end-to-end services and the development of a global governance framework that manages 3rd party content within Swiss Re (SOURCING, PROCUREMENT and ADMINISTRATION) He/She works with internal stakeholders and vendors to maximize business investments and minimize business and operational risk. IRMS actively participates in all facets of the IRM activities. IRMS performs day-to-day global admin activities as required to ensure that services are delivered on time, in scope and within budget and vendors are paid in a timely manner. This will include but not be limited to supporting the Team Head, managing contract/service renewals, user entitlement administration, invoice reconciliation, reporting and cost allocation using existing and/or future tools IRMS will manage a portfolio of vendors. As directed, IRMS will either assist, coordinate or lead contract and renewal activities for their assigned vendors. IRMS will also manage the overall relationships for their vendors IRMS will keep current on internal IT and Swiss Re business developments, content market trends, vendor business models and new products to actively participate and make recommendations on how to meet internal content requests.
IRMS identifies opportunities and makes recommendations for content deployment/portfolio changes through the analysis and synthesis of existing data, evaluating internal and external trends. IRMS works directly with internal clients at all levels of the organization to understand content requirements and works to develop creative cost effective solutions. The IRMS demonstrates industry, content and internal knowledge helping to align client needs, services and tools. IRMS is expected to actively participate in the development/refinement of existing IRM sourcing, procurement and administrative processes/interfaces and governance. IRMS will assist in maintaining, strengthening and expanding interfaces with internal stakeholders such as Finance, Legal, Tax and Sourcing IRMS actively manages client expectations in cooperation with other KR teams and stakeholders. IRMS proactively utilizes existing and emerging communication channels to insure that internal clients are aware of IRM services. IRMS solicits feedback to insure continued connection to and awareness of changing business needs.
Qualifications
- 3-5 yrs experience in Information (research) or Market Data
services
- Proven track record in content provision including vendor
management and contract negotiation
- Knowledge of MDSL/MDM or comparable Market Data or expense management tools
- 3-5 yrs in a multinational organization
- Ability to speak and write German a plus
- Understanding of reinsurance and insurance industries a plus
- Strong organizational skills „X Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Experience in internal marketing and communications projects
- Master's in Library Sciences a plus

Qualifications
The position requires a candidate with strong communication skills and experience with long range planning, library advocacy, personnel administration, library technology, and fiscal management. Minimum qualifications are an MLS from an accredited library school, NYS Public Librarian’s Certificate or eligibility, and a minimum of 8 years of library experience (post-MLS) at least 2 of which must have been in a senior administrative or management capacity of a library or library system.
